Last night, the lovely Amy at Charm City Cook and Jess at Baltimore Magazine came together for the second time to host #instafact, an Instagram meetup at Artifact Coffee. I missed the first one, so I was excited to check it out. Plus, I invited my friend, Amanda, who is still a little new to Baltimore. This gave her the chance to try tons of food and drinks from amazing restaurants.
Like any red-blooded female, we started with dessert. Sarah Malphrus at Woodberry Kitchen whipped up these amazing glazed and peanut butter filled donuts.
We moved on to items of greater substance with pork buns from Dooby’s, pheasant tacos from Woodberry Kitchen, puffer fish (I think) from Ryleigh’s Oyster, goat cheese and mushrooms on a baguette from The Food Market, a shrimp soup (Amy, who made that??), and nachos with all local ingredients by Jeremiah Langhorne.
To cleanse the palette, I opted for Woodberry’s amazing Farmer’s Daughter, a mix of organic VT vodka, watermelon, cucumber, mint, sugar, and Amanda and I finished it all off with Hennessey ice cream with cinnamon nuts from David Alima at The Charmery. (He indulged me in a little #kimye talk.)
I loved catching up with awesome people like Dave (of the Bagby Group), Jess O. (of Planit), and Ellen (of Local Color Flowers – our wedding florist!), and meeting others. Thanks for hosting, Amy and Jess! My stomach is ready for the next #instafact.
